I was wondering how long they worked and if they worked as advertized or not??

Are you talking about those hoses that automatically 'crinkle' up like a pig's tail? When we bought our house just over a year ago the owner left one of those. Looks like it had been here a while too. It's still working fine. I'm not totally sure it's much less pain than a regular hose as the crinkles often get stuck on each other like a knotted slinky and since the hose is pretty narrow it tends to kink pretty easily.

On the other hand the owner also left a couple standard hoses in the back and one of those has already sprung a leak.

If that is what you're talking about you can also buy them at Home Depot and I'm pretty sure they'll let you bring it back if you don't like it.
