Thanks Sassberto for the recommendation. I was hoping to find an on-line store that sells slacks where I can get a gift certificate, and that might also be in his local area (Pittsburgh).

Any clues?
I would imagine you have Nordstrom in your area? They have a web site too.
Those $175 pants must come with an easy access flap in the rear because anybody who would spend that much money for a pair of pants must really enjoy being shafted.

What would you expect for 100% Italian worsted wool slacks? This isn't some made in China garbage - these are going to last you a lifetime.
If you are careful you can pay half that at a sale. I got mine for about 80 bucks. Only suckers pay retail anyway.
Sassberto is right: good slacks, 100% wool, you gotta pay for it. However, I am only willing to offset the cost of a pair this SIL will wear, a stay at home writer with no taste in clothes, at all.

Good call. What about Calvin Klein? Should be about 80 bucks retail, good quality.
Thanks again, Sassberto, that sounds more like it.
