HI have any of you shopped on craigs list if so how did you experience go with the item you purchase?

Did youi pick it up or have it shipped to you?
Was the item you bought new or used?
Did they provide pictures in the listing?
Was you unsatified with the item once looking at it in person?

thanks

I've had excellent experiences with Craigslist.

** I bought an almost-new couch for $10. I sometimes will sleep on it, it's so comfy!

**I went to buy a $20 microwave, and when I arrived, they said I could have it for free - a nice Emerson microwave.

**I picked up a few things off the "free stuff" section - an entertainment stand, coffee table, baskets, and such

**I got some stuff for my daughter - clothes, some toys.

I basically treated everything like I would from a thrift store no matter what condition - clean before using. Most stuff is used.. but I usually only inquire about items that have pictures included.

There's been nothing that I wasn't satisfied with once I saw it in person. Then again, I take good looks at the pictures posted - I won't buy without pictures.

NEVER have the item shipped to you. Most people who do that are scammers who get your money and never ship the item. For each item, either pick it up or drop it off.

I use craigslist all of the time. I am usually selling or giving away, but I have never had a bad experience. Same with freecycle.

I wish I could, but they don't have a community within 200 miles of where I live. I would definately shop on Craigslist if the seller would mail me the item.

I have not bought anything but have sold a number of things. I always meet them in a busy store parking lot to make the sale.

I use it all the time to buy and sell. I'd say I purchase the item 90% of the times I go look at it. I've always picked it up; I've always bought used; they've always posted pictures.

I just recently bought something from there and was very satisfied with what I bought. It was a $15 item, all I had was a $20 bill and the man said he would mail me my change and he did... Even if he hadn't, I wouldn't have minded, it was worth a lot more than what he was asking for it.

I've had great experiences both buying and selling furniture on craigslist. I've had to move a number of times the past few year and craigslist is great for finding inexpensive furniture. Also a better way to get rid of things than garage sales or normal classifieds.

Couple examples of things I got off craigslist.

Almost new coffee table for $100. This is a very nice modern style with thick glass that easily goes for over $500 in a store.

3 bar stools brand new in box $50ea. The girl I bought them from paid $120 each plus shipping off an internet site.
