This is now my 4th pair of plastic drinking cups that have cracked not too long after I bought them. I'm not talking about the disposable cups you use 1x. I'm talking about the plastic cups you get in the dinnerware section of stores. I stopped buying them at Target because they seemed too cheap, but then I bought one at a better quality store & it already cracked too! I don't even drink hot drinks or use them in the dish washer!
Anyone know where you get plastic tumblers/cups that don't crack?
Tervis.
They are simply the best plastic cups out there...lifetime warranty and come all sorts of colors and designs. They have free standing stores, online stores and are carried in a few retail stores as well. Bed Bath and Beyond has a huge selection.
(this might be a repeat..I didn't read the whole thread)
I also use glass.. I wont serve my guests anything in/on plastic anything and my dh refuses to use plastic at home so I have a set of really heavy glass tumblers in several sizes that I really, really like. But for those 'on the go' drinks....it's always a Tervis
Thanks Kim in FL, yes, someone did mention Tervis, but good to know that BB&B carries them. Also I did say earlier that I ran across some glasses that I ended up getting.
This thread wasn't about on-the-go cups, but just cups to drink while at home. I went to the Tervis website & while there are lots of designs I like, the style is too sporty, to-go-ish than I like for home use. But who knows, I may get some someday.

When I said 'on the go' I meant for drinks I'm taking in the car. I won't take my glass tumblers in the car but I will take my Tervis. I dont' think you looked at all the styles available.....they're not all the 'classic tumbler' style and not all have designs.
Kim in FL, yes, I see that they do't have to have that non-spill top on them & they can be alright for home use, 'm not saying they can't be for home use. I should say, I'm looking for something more refined-looking for home use. But again, the Tervis ones look good & I just might buy a pair one day!
