Usually 3 times a week. We make nearly all our food from scratch using fresh produce and meats. We'll take turns stopping by the local shops on our way home depending on our meal plans for the week. We don't do processed foods and therefore don't 'stock up' like some people do.
Once a week, stores are 32 miles away. Mom n' Pop market is 16 miles, I try to hit their meat and produce specials.
My neighbor's chickens are laying, woohoooooo! Cheaper and fresher than stores. We eat a lot of eggs, I hate having less than three dozen in the fridge. Just me and DH, no kids.
I go to costco once a month for things to stock up on and our grocery store 3 times a week, I find if I buy produce and fruit in bulk to last a few weeks, I never finish it, so I buy in small quantities to last a few days. I have been trying not to keep anything in the pantry or fridge that wont be used up in the next few weeks and it has been saving me alot of money
A few times a week. We go thru a lot of fruit and veggies and some of them only last a couple days. I got to several different places to pick up odds and ends that I can only get at this store or that store. Sometimes I got to TJ's or Whole Foods or one of the specialty stores (Organic, Asian, whatever) just for fun and to see if there something I JUST HAVE TO TRY! lol.
