I got my niece magazine subscriptions. She had none. Now she can take the mags to school and show her friends during their lunch period. Makes them feel like grown-ups.

Default I have an idea

With the occasion of my 10 year old son I was having the same dillema that you are facing now. Until one of my friends gave me the idea of ordering him a 100% hand-made painting from his favourite photo. Hence I had his picture transformed into a nice painting. Here is the address of the site: http://www.paintyourlife.com . You can visit and tell me your opinion. I hope it's useful.

Have to agree with this suggestion. My 9 year old niece, 9 year old nephew, and 6 year old nephew all have several, and were thrilled to get more for this past Christmas. The boys seem to be into it more for the website than for the stuffed animals. The niece is into both the animal and the website.

Default Interactive Ty girls instead of Webkinz

My daughter is 9 and also has a lot of Webkinz. The new thing now is the Ty girls that are interactive just like the Webkinz, they come with a secret code etc, and cost about the same as the Webkinz. If she likes Webkinz, she will love these dolls. If you have trouble finding them, look online. Trendy Taylor or Preppy Paris are a couple of the names of the dolls. Good Luck!

I still liked Barbies when I was 9. I liked Barbies til I was 12 or 13, and they are quite cheap nowadays.

but for a 9 year old, probably anything hannah montana would be suitable as well.
