Oh, no, I'm with the OP. If every one of us took 15 minutes or so to lead on these scammers, whether it's on the phone or by email, or texting . . . eventually it wouldn't be worth their while to keep trying these swindles.

I recognize a lot of you are seriously pressed for time in your lives, so if you can't, well, fine.

But I'm retired. That means I get a lot of phone calls for "help" with my computer, and special offers for credit cards, and home security systems. (All of which are illegal because we're on the Do Not Call List.)

So if I can, I take the time to "chat" with all these callers. If I can keep 'em on the hook for 10 minutes, it's that much unproductive time for them. And fun for me. I regale them with stories about my health problems, and my grandkids (don't have any), and sometimes even what I'm most concerned about in the recent news. I have a lot of fun with it!
