I worked in a store with one in it. It seemed like only a few people would win all the animals. One was a man who spent ALL his free time playing a pilot video game. 2 were men with developmental disabilities.

Funny thing was, the pilot wannabe and one of the other men would give me bags worth for my dog (who was well loved in the community). She was a happy puppy...then again I spent all my free time picking up fluff.

Well, you can always go to Mardi Gras parades in Metairie, LA (or other family friendly suburbs). My granddaughter has a ton of stuffed animals that she got when they threw stuffed animals from the floats especially at the end of a parade when they threw all of the ones they had left. <g>

I would try the card or gift shops near hospitals, if you happen to know someone who works in or near a hospital.

I think stuffed animals have fallen out of flavor due to electronics and the fear of bed bugs. I loved them as a child and had a massive collection.

Depending on what you are looking for I noticed some of the upscale baby boutique sell nice ones. I went into a baby boutique last summer looking for a gift and they had adorable and incredibly soft stuffed animals. They weren't cheap though.

Otherwise great suggestions so far. Zoo gift shops are pretty awesome. Kohl's is another good place as someone suggested.
