Mainly thinking about New Balance shoes, the running line and the walking line. Obviously walking shoes are usually not ideal for running--I suppose running shoes usually require that boat-like soles in the front. What about the opposite? Are running shoes equally good for walking? In other words, for walking purpose, is a shoe designed for walking necessarily better than a shoe meant for running? Is there something about running shoes that makes them less desirable for walking than walking shoes?

(I usually chose New Balance running shoes for walking, but since some of the models that I liked have been discontinued, I was thinking to try walking shoes.)

For running or jogging New Balance is the way to go. For walking not so much. I switched over to Reebok DMX as it holds the foot differently and your feet will thank you for it.
