Even better is when you pretend to be the automated system to a business. Ask them to please hold for the next available rep, mute the phone and sit it down. Most times they are gone within a couple minutes.

Apparently, it's hard for some/many of you - just DON'T ANSWER.

Not as easy when you don't have a answering machine set up and they let your phone ring for 5 minutes.

Not answering does not remove you from the calling list. They continue to call daily, sometimes more than once. Last week, I deleted 17 unrecognized numbers from my caller ID storage.

I particularly like the recorded voice that tells me that this is my "third and final notice" and then calls again tomorrow to tell me the same thing. And the next day. And the next.

I pick up the phone, wait for the connection, then hang up.

Robo-dialing services...if they can get say 1 out of 10 to atleast pickup and listen to the sales pitch, they'll never go away.

Unnamed/unavailable caller id for me = do not answer. If i get a call on my call from a # I don't recognize maybe they'll leave a message - if not, well oooops, they get added to a 'caller reject list'. Also, create a google voice # and give that out to people you don't know or for internet sales.....have it bounce to your cell/land line. I have no landline, but only a cell phone and a google voice tel #.

If you call my google tel #, it gets bounced to my cell phone #. However the calling party doesn't know that.......hahahahah.................profit!
