OK So I narrowed the options down to two, no need to go into detail about the dryers as both are 7.3 cu. ft. and have some type of duct sensor to alert when airflow is restricted or not optimal. I will say after feeling both out at Home Depot today the LG's seem a heck of a lot more sturdy and well built. This is entirely first impression but the LG washer had a lid that stayed in place much better as well as a soft close feature which was welcomed. Also the LG dryer door felt more sturdy and secure when closed. The Maytag seemed almost "tinny" in the way the doors and controls felt, similar to our current old Whirlpool Supreme and Clean Fresh. I have no idea what the capacities are on the old units, have not looked, but imagine they are less than the options I have picked out. The Maytag also has a little higher of a price tag of about $40-50 over the LG.
