I am just wondering if anybody remember those newspaper stands. The ones where you stick a coin in, push a button, pull the handle, and open the door. You now have access to all the newspapers but are supposed to just be nice and take just one. Has anybody else raided the machine taken all of the newspapers?

I've never done this, but I've heard a common motivation to take all the papers is for free coupons. Extreme couponers take multiple papers so they can get more than one copy of the ads inside.

Remember? They still are around all over the place. I walk by two every morning at the park & ride, and 2 sets of them near my workplace in Seattle.

They are still around, and no, I am not in the habit of taking things that don't belong to me.

Around here, they don't even put coupon inserts in the papers in the boxes. You have to subscribe to get the coupons.

The stands are common here, but I don't buy newspapers. I read my news online.
