I ended up buying a couple of semi-major purchases there - 2 tv's and a range - over the last year. I'd written them off completely, but a combination of google product # searches and actual product availability in the warehouse (Down in Kent Wa, not close to Seattle, but close enough to drive to off peak) sealed the deal.

The other big box stores (and Amazon) had longer delivery times at the same sale prices, but Best Buy actually had the items available. Only issue with picking up at the warehouse is you have to have a truck or trailer to haul something the size of a TV or range, since they're taller than most SUVs.

Main complaint: Store inventory wasn't accurate. I had to place one order twice, once for store pickup only to have it cancelled, then again for warehouse pickup. The phone rep couldn't transfer the original order to the warehouse where the item was actually located.

Maybe this was a couple of freak occurrences. I usually buy using Amazon Prime or other big box stores. In these cases, BB had a competitive price and availability. Have they figured something out or are they still dead in the water?

I'm glad you had a good experience.

When I was looking to buy a laptop, I went to Best Buy and told the young salesperson that I wanted a 17" laptop. He asked me if I did gaming and I said no. Then he told me that there was absolutely no reason why I should need a bigger laptop if I didn't do gaming and he walked away!

I left and about 20 minutes I found the perfect laptop at Office Depot in my price range. I knew it was the right one as soon as I saw it on display. It is 17" and a smokey grey beauty. This was 3 years ago and I am typing on it right now. So I guess it was meant to be.
