New members can get 1 year of prime tomorrow, January 24th for $72. Good for those that were on the fence about giving it a shot.

I think they maybe suffering as I got a similar deal not that long ago. I betting once I drop another so called deal will come..Frankly prime streaming is getting worse and the service isn't really second day. Most things I order I can wait or in some instances get faster by free shipping because of faster shipping else where. I just order some thing yesterday that was shipped within hours. On amazon it would still be sitting there or never at shippers by now even if shown has shipped.

How is their streaming getting worse? I've noticed no changes.

Anything ordered under the Prime banner is two day delivery, it doesn't matter how long it sits before being shipped, how is it not second day?

I have had prime for a few years. I find it really useful including the streaming where I find a good variety and quick shopping for many basics besides books. I may use the streaming less now because I also have netflix and so many great streaming possibilities from my internet server. That may be a factor for amazon losing prime customers.

I've seen no reports of Prime membership drop offs, Texdav's statement isn't fact based unless he has some data to back it up that he can provide. I poked around and couldn't find anything.

It appears TexDav was just making things up as he went as far as prime goes. According to a report, membership was up 53% last year.
