"can I see your ID?

I get so mad it's like I almost want to throw it at the person because I feel like I am being judged and looked at as a thief. I'm not some 18 year old kid wearing a hoodie with his first credit card who may look like he is up to no good. I am a grown man over 30 coming from work dressed in my business attire so it's so easy for me to get annoyed. Plus I find it funny how real criminals can steal people's credit card and go on a shopping spree at target and not be asked for no ID

Does anyone else get asked this question when using a credit card?

I alwaysthank them”. I would like to think that if someone did steal my credit cards that the store clerk would ask for more ID and when things didn’t match up…………… they would have caught a bad guy!

Seems like they are too scared to ask a real criminal question

I have no issues with it ... If more clerks would demand ID, it would make it harder for criminals to use a stolen card.

Just curious, exactly what does a "REAL" criminal look like?

I can't say this is the same for all areas but where I live if you have on a hoodie indoors chances are you have a criminal background

I think I've been asked maybe once for every hundred times I use the card................

If "they" don't ask would the store be stuck for an illegal purchase I wonder.......

Uh ... Criminals have been known to look like everyday folks ... Some can be well dressed in business attire ... Glad that clerk did not assume anything ....

Are you saying then, that if you DON'T have on a hoodie indoors, you likely can't have a criminal background?

There are times I thought of, and for a while I did, printing "Check for Photo ID" in the signature portion of my cards.
