What companies you know shy to put expiration date on their product or otherwise try to cheat customers?

I've noticed Pepsi/Dr.Pepper print on bottles codes, like 0630 FF 26541(Schweppes, Schweppes Ginger Ale, Hawaiian Punch) instead of something clear and understandable, like Exp MAR 20, 2015 or Exp 03/20/2015.
Beer companies do the same.

To me it is a red flag and I try to skip such products/companies.

Those numbers have nothing to do with the expiration date, but with a manufacturing code - plant number etc.

When manufacturer make it more difficult to obtain important info I do not consider it a good practice. I do not want to guess whether food or drink I am buying expired or not.

Ok, I see this code on the bottle and cap ring, where normally expiration date shown. There is no expiration date anywhere. Why? Other bottles has something easily recognizable, like EXP Feb 20 2015.

See, that's exactly what I am talking about, why do I need to SEARCH for such info? If other manufacturers and THIS particular manufacturer place expiration date at specific place(upper part of bottle and cap ring) why all of a sudden some drinks have there some code instead?

And yes, I looked and did not see expiration on the bottle or label.

Actually sometimes those numbers are a part of the expiration code. Often a year, a letter(s) for the month (sometimes numbers) or a julian date and a year. FE1602 or 03316 would expire Feb 2, 2016. Usually those numbers are together with the mfg code, so it can be hard to tell, but if you call the 800 number on the package the company will usually be happy to tell you how to read their particular date coding method.
And some things you might expect to have expiration dates, don't. Spam has such a long shelf life they didn't start putting expiration dates on the cans until several years ago, yummmmy.

A few, including Pepsi, are mentioned here.
A better search can probably tell you more.

My diet Dr. Peppers in the 24-can cardboard cube contains the date clear and understandable, e,g, Feb 5, 2015 on the cardboard cube.
