I haven't bought any produce at Costco lately because most of the stuff they have aren't that cheap and not the best quality.
They have probably the worst selection of eggs, the farm they picked eggs from here in the NorthEast is terrible. Those eggs are way too runny and doesn't taste flavorful at all.
Not much selection of sliced cheeses or cold cuts.
I ended up spending way more money at BJs than Costco. I have both memberships for years and only buy Costco Kirkland stuff.
I'm calling a big Costco size load of bull fertilizer on all that.
Which interestingly enough they carry in the spring.
Ok, I'm going today for another case of Pellegrino...I'm going to look
at the organic frozen stuff.
Thanks.
I do already buy their org blueberries there.
Kirkland toilet paper, unscented clothes soap, cleaning wipes (theirs are larger than the ones in the pop-up can and half of the packets have little cleaning nubs on them), and all sorts of Kirkland brand products.
Vitamins, glucosamine, Metamucil...
Glasses are the best deal around by a long shot.
TVs, electronics...
Kitchen stuff - bowls, sheet pans, parchment paper

Some of the things I buy there regularly:
Keurig coffee (Newman's Own)
Aleve/vitamins/razors
Edge shaving gel
dishwasher soap and cleaning supplies
laundry soap
trash bags
batteries
paper for my copy machine
lamb
rotisserie chicken
vegetables
cases of Perrier
paper towels/toilet paper
butter
OP if you're only going once a year I assume you don't get your groceries there. They swap out new foods just about every other month.
We live about 45 minute ride on the interstate so it's not just a casual "Let's stop by COSTCO". We spent $500 this trip which is another reason we don't go too often. I feel for the effort, time and gas involved we should really make each trip worthwhile. We take a freezer chest for the cold things and we have lots of nice storage shelves in the garage as well as extra fridge. Everytime I come back from there i realize all the things i wish i had gotten and never regret the things i did get. it all gets used eventually.
Our membership expires soon. Do they wait a certain period of time and then discount membership to get you back?
We are going soon and I can't remember the favorites. It's too big to go aisle by aisle so I thought I'd ask what are your favorites. We only go about once every year and I want to make this trip worthwhile.
Many thanks.
When we lived in Arizona, our Costco had a filling station for members that was 5 to 10 cents lower than most other places. Another reason to go there.
