For a sale that was touted as "bigger than Black Friday" it sure looked like a bust to me. I was amazed at the amount of garbage that was offered up at alleged "savings."

Anyone buy anything today from Amazon? Do you feel you received a "bargain" ??

I bought new nail clippers and salmon treats for my dogs. The prices were good on both but not earth shattering. Of course, neither of those products is very exciting. I am also on the wait list for the $50 kindle. I wanted to try one and that seems like a good way to try an e reader with a minimal investment.

Generally it seemed like a lot of sizzle and no steak to me.

Nothing, found a number of things I'd want but the prices were no different than what they were pre-sale, some items can be found cheaper elsewhere. Kind of underwhelming IMHO.

They had Greenies (dog treats) on "sale", exact same price as 2 months ago when I bought them last. Found some sun glasses I might like, walmart had them almost $5 cheaper, a bust.

Have to say we buy often but today was mostly junk IMO and I didn't buy anything. One box of dishwashing tablets we bought few weeks ago was higher than then altho on front page of sale.

I bought a pair of sneakers for hubby. But I was pretty disappointed with the sale. Walmart's was OK, but not much better.

It was a disappointing bust, items for $399.99 went for #399.95. .04 cents savings...other similar deals too...

I was really disappointed. Was hoping to get something on my wish list for a great deal. They shouldn't have said it would be bigger than Black Friday. Got everyone's expectations up for slashed deals.

I did end up buying something this evening after boycotting the event all day, though. A pack of 9 stretch headbands that were 18% off the normal Amazon price. I had been wanting some anyway, so I spent a whopping $14.00.

Their Prime Day ad for them said they were something like 70% off, but that was based on some nebulous original retail price, not the normal everyday Amazon price.

Just silly. Had my heart set on a nice new pair of hiking boots. But, I'll enjoy my headbands

I do already have Prime, but hadn't ever used the Prime music feature. I'll admit I did finally try it out today so I could be entered into the $100,000 sweepstakes. Which was also a joke, really, because it's really 5 - $20,000 prizes. Not too shabby, of course to win $20,000 - but again, it was a bait and switch.

I've always had such a high opinion of Amazon and never felt insulted by them before. Today I did. Did they really think we wouldn't notice the sham?

I had planned to buy a computer on Prime Day and had already selected it. Well, for one day only, the price was doubled. Got it somewhere else. Normally, I really like Amazon and am a Prime member, but they did not do their best on Prime Day.
