Does anyone else here love to shop at these warehouse clubs? Costco especially?
I'll go there for a few things and I'll always end up with a full wagon of things I never planned on getting. If you see something you like you have to buy it then because chances are they won't have it if you decide to purchase it later.
That rotisserie chicken is probably the best $5 you'll ever spend. I pick one up every time I go.
There are certain things that you always have to get there and not in regular grocery stores. Like coffee, cereal, papertowels, dog food etc. The only problem is you think your saving money but end up paying more with all the other junk you buy impulsively.

And those hotdogs at the check out! mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

What are some of your favorite items?

I shop at Costco and have never made a bad purchase there. The food is excellent but I know what you mean about going in for a couple things and coming out with a lot of things. If you eat fish buy the frozen tilapia loins, they are better then fresh that I buy at other stores. I don't eat meat but my boyfriend said the chicken pot pies are the best he ever had.

When I lived where I could shop at Sam's (heavy sigh) I used to buy all of my paper products, household cleaning supplies, automotive/marine batteries, and tires. They had some great deals on quite a few of the health supplies I needed.

My husband eats 6-7 times a day, so I also bought a LOT of frozen foods in bulk.

And then there was the candy dish at the office. We took turns filling it, and I was the only one who ever thought to get stuff at Sam's. The company paid for our membership, so I know everyone had a card.

I am at costco weekly. Especially during Christmas.
I get their books, clothes, laundry & dish soap, & water on a regular trip.
Food - The frozen catfish filets are great. We just grill them. The spinach mozzarella raviolis are yummy and my 3 year old loves them, great way for him to eat spinach. I love their huge box of ice-cream that has sandwiches, drumsticks, and bars in it.

I go to Sam's; we have one in Fort Walton Beach and one in Pensacola. They have good deals on Smithfield hams and ham steaks, which are great. They also have a pretty good pizza. The only kind I'll eat, unless it's my own, or a pizza joint. I won't eat frozen pizzas, from the grocery store. I also go to their liquor store to buy Bailey's, (wonderful in coffee ). We bought some nice teakwood rocking chairs and a set of little tables, for the front porch. Also bought my Food Saver there, for a really good price. I usually go to Sam's every two weeks, on payday.

I'm a Sam's Club member and I've always been impressed with the quality of merchandise, baked goods, food, etc. And, if you ever look for jewelry items, their quality is better than most jewelers with better prices. I also buy clothing there...that's where I bought my black leather jacket which I really love, and a sheepskin throw that my cats took over . They also have great appliances, furniture, and books. It's a great store. The problem for me here is that everyone else thinks it's a great store too and the crowds in the one we have in Springfield are too much. I hate shopping there because the checkout lines are so long. So now I rarely go.

Oh, honey, they didn't "take over". You bought it for them! You know how cats are...in their opinion, they are royalty, and we are the peasants. "Dogs have masters; cats have support staff."
