I don't know? But it would explain why, every once in a while, they end up at the wrong location.

I am curious how many other people have this same problem? Has anybody received the wrong mail, addressed to the same individual, for some time? If you have; have you tried looking up that individual using the Whitepages?

With us; we have been receiving the wrong mail for about fifteen years. We would complain to the PO and it would stop and then start again years latter. It is possible the PO just threw it away and then started sending it again?

By the way; Whitepages.com did get back to me after nine days. They told me to do exactly what you suggest at: support@Whitepages.com. However; that is to remove our listing - not to remove other people that have either by choice or accident used our address. I did respond to their 'information' and hopefully they will get back to me - providing they do not now list me as 'case closed'. I do not find them very helpful!

I would still like to know if other people have this problem?

Here is the latest response that I just received from whitepages:

"We’re sorry. The ability to remove a person from an incorrectly associated address is temporarily unavailable. We are undergoing improvements to our services and some of our features are currently offline.

For the meantime, you may either choose to keep the name on the address and check periodically to see when the feature to remove it will become available, or you may opt to remove your profile altogether.

If you wish to remove the listing entirely, go to www.whitepages.com and click on "Remove from Directory" located in the footer of the page.

Thank you for contacting Whitepages.

Best Regards,

Tommy

Whitepages
Customer Service"

They do not sound like a company that is willing to help!

No, the blame for that lies with police incompetence, not the white pages.

I said that I really did not know - but any misleading information does not help.

By the way; I sent them the following after their previous reply:

"Thanks! Take your time. I have started a thread on your lack of cooperation at: http://www.city-data.com/forum/shopping-consumer-products/2468041-whitepages-when-our-address-not-ours.html. I hope that it hurts your company’s reputation like you are hurting my reputation by not correcting this problem!

Next I will try contacting legislators.

Best wishes,"
They did quickly get back to me that they have now removed the misleading information. Thank you Whitepages! See; this demonstrates the power of City-Data - attaboy!
