For years now I do all my shopping online as I am home with severe heart failure. Things always arrive well. I ordered some gifts and one arrived broken. I emailed a picture to the shop which is in a different country also in Europe. They requested I send it back. I am not able to go to a post office so I explained my situation.
They were fully understanding and requested i send an affidavit and copy of my ID passport. I am ok with that request. But where I live I had to google what is an affidavit as it is not customary/usual where I live.
So my question is how do I write an affidavit for an online shop?

They basically just want everything in writing. Explain why you can't return the item and that it arrived damaged. However, if you can't mail the item back, how will you mail the affidavit?
