The mattress I just replaced was a two-sided pillow top. We spun and flipped it every six months throughout its twelve-year life span. We now have a Tempurpedic, which is a very different feel, but my back is absolutely loving it. It is one-sided. No regrets.

I didn't think they still made double sided mattresses. Haven't seen one in years and years. I also have 2 couches that the cushions can't be flipped over (the ones on the seat). One couch has detached cushions along the back and they can be flipped, but not the seat ones. I guess it's how they sell more mattresses and couches!

I love my "one-sided" mattress. However, it does have two ends.

Where can I find a large whole piece of wooden board to use in place of a box spring?
