Hi everyone,
I ordered a Oral-B PRO 3000 Electric Rechargeable Power Toothbrush (Braun) and it died 2 days after delivery. Can anyone recommend a reliable electric toothbrush model?
I have found the opposite to be true, I used to be a Sonicare fan but they have died (and can't replace batteries, of course) - overpriced. I'm loving my Oral B, can't tell you the model off-hand, but I found replacement heads on Spoofee or something similar for crazy cheap.
I recently upgraded to Sonicare Premium whitening electric toothbrush (see link below) and I'm satisfied so far with the product. It "features 3 flexible brushing modes including, "Clean" mode for full power and optimal cleaning, "Sensitive" mode for gentler brushing in sensitive areas, and "Massage" mode for a stimulating, soothing cleaning action." I've been brushing with the Clean mode and no issue so far. I especially like the 2 minute timer since I don't have to look at my watch anymore.
Another good thing with the product below is that it has 2 electric toothbrushes so if it's for you only, you have an extra in case the other runs out and if you have a partner, they can use the second one.

I use the Oral-B Pro 3000. Sounds like you got a defective one, but mine has been great for several months now.
On the other hand, it's not like I've been through many. It's my first one and budget friendly (compared to most of the market).
I've had two SonicCare toothbrushes, as has my husband, over the past 20 years. The second one is going strong after about 7 years now. We've been really happy with them. Expensive brush heads (but save a little with the big pack at Costco), though, as someone mentioned.
I'm using an Oral B Vitality. I bought it over 3 1/2 yrs ago and it's still going strong. My dentist recommended this one. The replacement heads can be expensive so I usually order them from Ebay.
