And now I'm not able to get my apps, music, settings, and photos back. I'm very angry because items for 3 years are gone. And my work photos are gone as well.
I'll see the worker soon to see if she can get my phone back to normal. But from the messages she's left for me it sounds like she lost my data. Is there any course of action I can take?

How did she lose your data and why would you factory reset before checking wherever the back up goes to make sure it is there. Also, if you are going to put everything right back on why did you reset to factory?
Edited to add: You might look into a program called "Dr. Phone".

Did you not have your pictures backed up? I have dropbox on my phone. Every photo I goes straight to dropbox and can be accessed anywhere. I've had three different phones since using Dropbox and haven't lost a single photo.
Apps can be be reinstalled through Google Play, Apple Store, Amazon... wherever you downloaded them from originally.
Music can also be reinstalled. At least when I switched phones, I was able to access all my music I had downloaded from Google Play and download it onto my new phone. Music that wasn't from Google Play were also on my computer, so I just transferred them onto my phone.
Usually when you do a reset, the phone will go through the set up process again, so you'll be able to set up the same settings as you had before at that time.

Yes, from now on back up everything you feel is important. Phones break all the time... They get dropped, water damage, stolen... Never keep things just on your phone. Especially if its important work photos.

Was the phone broken? Why did you go to your carrier to do this? All your stuff should be on your computer or in the cloud.
