I ordered some black wrought-iron patio furniture—a chaise longue, side table, and dining table/chairs—from Wayfair three years ago right after I retired (and would have time to use it). No problem with the delivery or the furniture.

It was called Meadowcraft dogwood style patio furniture.

Yes, many times...very reliable and they don't send alternate items like Overstock.

I bought a large cat tree from them. It arrived and was of terrible quality and was already coming apart. I contacted Wayfair about it (online) and described the condition. They immediately refunded the money and told me I could keep or throw away the cat tree. I did not have to return it. I was happy with the service.

Several years ago I was trying to buy a large computer desk from Ikea. Every single model they had, that I liked, was out of stock, online, in store, anywhere. I ended up buying a desk from Wayfair. It costed quite a bit more than the Ikea desks, and took a lot longer to ship, but it was a lot better quality desk. I would probably buy from Wayfare again, whenever possible.

I ordered a rather large and not inexpensive rug from them and when it arrived, the color was very different
from what was shown. I called the company and they said to just keep it (it was their mistake)
and they took the charge off the account.

Wonderful service, I thought. And, I have bought from them again.

I'm not sure who in their right mind would order something like a sofa from an online site without first having sat on it, felt the construction and materials quality not to mention the "real life" color versus the never truly accurate appearance on a computer/phone screen. Apparently there are many who are addicted to clicking on something and having it delivered, but would highly suggest shopping brick and mortar retailers in your area when considering such an item not only for the sensory aspect, but for the ability to easily return or deal with other issues versus heaven knows what with a website.

Online you can read reviews from people who have already bought the item. That is probably more useful then actually sitting in a chair and feeling it. A chair might feel comfortable and well constructed, but you have no way of knowing how well it will actually hold up. Bad reviews will give you the best indication of problems like that.

I have good quality large screen monitors. So I can see just about how well it's constructed from the pictures as I could see it in person. Also the nearest furniture store to me is about 100 miles away. They would probably charge me considerably more than I could get it for online, and then I would still have to have them ship it to me. So I'll stick to buying online. I don't find many drawbacks to ordering online and it's a lot more convenient.
