I should amend that to read: "That actually WORKS". Just think what a billionaire this inventor would become. I have purchased 3 or 4 varieties and none work.

This is a world-wide problem and it SEEMS like there should be a fairly easy solution. This is a HUGE market just begging for a successful product.

Do you think there is a psychological reason that the market DOESN'T really want this?

Such a mystery!!

Are you asking about a device to stop your own dog's barking or to stop your neighbors' dogs barking?

There is. It is called a dog trainer, combined with responsible dog owners.

Oh, come on. You know I am talking about a product, for sale. Many dog owners have no consideration for others around them and allow their dog to bark indefinitely. Not to say there aren't many great owners too, but I'm talking about the uncontrolled barkers.

A juicy steak or other delicacy would surely do, albeit temporary....

This is why we like the Akita breed. Super quiet and relatively low energy. They are large and look like bears. When they do bark it is a low bark, not like those high pitched bug-eyed yappers.

They do, our previous neighbor had one. Their Basset would bark and Bay all day and into the evening when they were not home and left him outside, driving us nuts. One day we were on a walk and heard it as we approached our house and my wife said " oh no, that dog is at it again." As luck would have it, the neighbor was about to get into his car and heard it. After about a week, the barking stopped completely. We thought they had gotten rid of the dog, but one day I saw it through the fence, and it was wearing an electronic collar.
