Would they send the package back to you if they wanted to decline a refund? They can't keep your money and the item too, right? Hopefully they will decide it's easier to just give you your money back than trying to reship the broken item.
I have no clue what is going to happen. I learned my lesson though. I take Amazon's easy returns for granted. They process the return as soon as I drop the return back off at UPS, before they even receive it back.
Mine was a slightly different problem with online delivery.
Last week I ordered something on line that came in 6-42 lbs boxes. Total weight of 252 lbs.
The product came with no major dents to the boxes, however, the delivery man showed us how unhappy he was by stacking the boxes RIGHT UP AGAINST the screen door as close as he could get, blocking off most of the door and then leaving without ringing the doorbell or knocking.
God forbid a fire should have happened in my house. My better half, who is disabled, would not have been able to get out.
As it was I had to move each box twice, first to get them away from the screen door in order to open it and then to move each of the six boxes into the house.
