We are interested in purchasing a swing set from toys r us, walmart or home depot. Something that is reasonably priced (under $700). Does anyone have one that they recommend?
I'm so confused. All the swing set companys make the same claim "Theirs is the safest, use the best wood, best construction yadda yadda"
We visited the Rainbow Showroom. Outstanding. Massive. Expensive. The set I wished for cost $5500 installed.
Now I am researching other swing set companies. Woodplay and Childlife. Has anyone heard of them? They appear to be significantly smaller in wood size compared to Rainbow. This is a major purchase and I'm so apprehensive to buy a set which may be less expensive but fall short on quality.
Any feedback out there? I couldn't not even find any Parenting websites to find any feedback. Geesh !!

We bought a playset for our son last year. We visited Woodplay, and they do have nice sets. Their sets can range from smaller to extremely large, depending on what you want to have built. Very nice and very good quality.
In the end, we bought a playset from Creative Playthings. They were a little less expensive than Woodplay for a comparable set. We also preferred the ladder steps, which are much wider and easier for our son to climb. Creative Playthings also has monkey bars over the swing area. My sister, who has three kids (two 9 year old twins, one six year old), recommended getting one with the monkey bars, and said her children still play with them.
You probably already know to do this, but when buying wait for a sale. They come around every so often and can save several hundred dollars.
we just bought ours last week from walmsrt--it was cedar wood included for $399...
