Just FYI... My Samsung tablet has a Kindle app. I haven't attempted to use it yet, but it's on there. I bought that tablet as an experiment (to try out universal remote apps with it) and it's an ancient model. Tab 2, I think? It was $30 on eBay... So, if you have purchased Kindle content, I'd guess you can probably still read it with a tablet (or the right tablet) pretty affordably.
Correct. You can read it on a Kindle, Apple iPad/iPhone, Android tablet, PC, Mac and no doubt other sources. You can also upload PDFs to your Kindle account, and through programs like Calibre convert other e-book formats to Kindle format and send them to your Kindle (device or app).
While I've had Kindles since the first version (and still have one), I usually read on my iPad nowadays.
Congrats. You will be saving one whole dollar a year. Not really, but you think you are.
Let me spell it out for you....
If I did not subscribe to prime, I would be paying for all the 2 day shipping (even standard shipping) out of pocket. That alone is more than $10 per month let alone $120 per year. 2017 alone I had 200+ purchases (although some were consolidated in single packages)
Note that for seller-fulfilled Prime orders, it looks like Amazon is increasing their shipping standards, eliminating USPS First Class Mail as an option. This will leave only USPS Priority Mail (Thursday/Friday only), USPS Priority Mail Express, UPS 2nd Day Air, and FedEx 2Day. Sellers also have the option to display the Prime badge on a regional basis if the buyer is within a two-day guaranteed ground shipping range via UPS Ground or FedEx Ground/Home Delivery.
Most shoppers don't use the video much, but if you do, of course there is Netflix, Hulu, CBS On Demand, and several other streaming services.
Prime Video is my main reason for subscribing to Prime. I would not be able to watch Bosch otherwise. And now there's Goliath (slated to return June 15 for a second season). Like Bosch,Goliath is a terrific crime thriller in which Los Angeles plays one of the main characters. I have never liked a Netflix original series as much as I like Bosch or Goliath.
I wish one of these services would stream Homicide: Life on the Streets, my favorite show of all time.
Not worth it at $120/yr. to have 'instant gratification'; I dropped it after it went up from $99.
Get out from behind the 'puter and go to a store. IF it hasn't been put out of biz by Amazon.
AS I said before...if the local store has it within a few bucks, I'll buy local, but often Amazon is half the price or close to half and it comes to my door...saving me additional time, money and gas.
Not having Prime saved me money from unnecessary buying just to use Prime. .
So does self-control...
