Whenever I search shopping sites like Walmart, Target, Home Depot, etc, from my Android tablet, the performance is terrible.
It takes so long for the search bar to accept my text and results to display that it seems it would be quicker to drive to the store than to search from home.
Other sites are fine, like Amazon, for example.
I think it has to do with all the pictures loading and other bloatware on these sites. Every subsequent refinement selection brings more delays.
Is there a way to temporarily turn off Java, or maybe there is another way to search these problem sites to get faster search results?
More often than not, I just give up in frustration.
Yeah, I thought of asking in Computers, but it only seems to happen on shopping sites and I thought computer savvy shoppers who have found solutions might be more effective. I don't have any issues elsewhere.
Don't seem to notice too much of a problem... I've got a few older android tablets, chromebooks, larger samsungs, and couple nexus 7. I have noticed that some shopping websites aren't optimized for mobile devices. They seem to want you to use their apps instead. Walmart, Target and Home Depot all have apps on the Google play.
