A robot floor cleaner-vacuum and sprayer.
A rolling cart to put in front of my window. Has to roll to move out of the way of either oven or pot drawers.
My dishwasher is broken and I can't decide to repair or replace. I liked the one I have for the racks and for getting my dishes much cleaner then my old one-but the GE one only lasted 3 THREE years.
A technician to teach me how to use some of the gadgets!
Lessons from a pastry chef!
Lessons from a catering chef!
Lessons from Heloise on cleaning up after the chefs are gone
Knowledge is power ...and that what I need upgraded in my kitchen....the skills.
I didn't plan on buying anything. I've already had the closet designer people come in and do my office closets so that I can put some of my kitchen junk in them. (NO, I'm not kidding.)
However, snow days are dangerous things. We stay at home, refusing to leave the house except to walk the dog. I read, watch TV, and cruise the internet. Which resulted in spending money on more StarPak tongs and spatula's from Amazon (I LOVE those things! Best tongs EVER). And a new 65" TV from Costco. (No, I'm not kidding about that, either.)
Nothing, we just replaced everything. I’m in the treat yourselves while you are still young before you get to nursing home stage. So we splurged on new plates, new drinking glasses, new dining table and chairs. I’m working to get of some more stuff so I have room to buy more.

I have to ask - are you perfectly fine being one of those people with multiple complete sets of dishes, or do you feel the urge to get rid of anything old?
My parents have several complete sets (and their kitchen / dining room is tidy) but in my house, I have a little galley kitchen and we've had to be "generous" with our old things when we get something new!
What kitchen things have you bought in the past few months, and what are you planning to buy in the coming year? How do you envision you will use them? I am thinking of fairly major, to major purchases here. What does the cook want and intend to get?
I did just order a mini Instant Pot, which I had been thinking about for a long time. Amazon reduced the price yesterday to $49 and I jumped on it. I intend it to replace a rice cooker, and I will also get rid of my stovetop pressure cooker. I think having both sizes of IPs should cover all my pressure cooking needs.
My old countertop comvection oven seems to be losing oomph. And it has not aged well. We are thinking of replacing it with a new Breville. I need a small size though, to fit in the space I want it to. So, I am still thinking and doing research.
What are you thinking of buying for your kitchen, and how do you plan to use it?
My kitchen equipment-wise is complete. What I do want to do is finally get my mini kitchen renovation underway. Strip and paint the cupboards, door and window frame, repaint the ceiling and walls, make some pretty tie-up curtains for the window and door, and splurge on some pricey wallpaper for one wall and the soffits that I've had my eye on for two years in anticipation of Project: Kitchen.
The flooring and lighting were replaced ahead of schedule because the former was about to go out of production and the latter....well, I just couldn't stand looking at the existing lighting any longer and the ones that I had my eye on finally appeared on the open box (returned) section of my favorite online lighting store. Didn't see the point in waiting to hang them up, so I went ahead and did it!
It sounds like a lot of you are thinking hard and making plans
