Do you DIY? And what do you do by yourself?
I DIY ceramic jewelry from a little bead to finishing a jewelry.
What about you?

I've been making some beads out of polymer clay, and I've finished a few bracelets and a necklace or two that I like and wear.

I don't think I want to get into selling beads or jewelry, it's just a creative outlet for me.

House painting and minor repairs. Clothing adjustments, (repairs, hemming, etc...) Yard work, patio building....I "sweat equity" is what is required, I'll do it!
Of course, if it's plumbing or electric, I'm hiring someone with insurance to do the work!

We also DIY as much as possible...painting, etc. - but I have to give us a pat on the back: changed out the bathroom faucets, switches/GFI's (we wanted white and they were beige) - changed out the light fixtures, etc. - woohoo - next project after one more bathroom is finished and our deck is finished (pros will do that) - is doing a patio.

Just about anything. Year before last I built the deck in the pictures seen in the link below. Last year I did the steps/gravel down the sides and across the back. This year I'm building a berm with four evergreens, a landscape block wall, plantings, and more gravel to match.

http://www.city-data.com/forum/1840775-post25.html

I've made furniture, built buildings (wood), done electrical, plumbing, hung sheet rock (yuck), replaced every piece of siding and trim on our first house, moved one of the windows (a 4 foot x 8 foot Anderson Window Wall from the west wall to the south), landscaping, painting, concrete work, before an expensive computer was required I did all the work on my cars, etc.

I do home repairs myself. If not me, who will. The landlord? LMFAO!

If you have pictures of any of the DIY projects you have done you should upload them to Paint Ideas. Show off a little

We were recently located and moved into new construction right before Christmas 2008.

We have done all our own landscaping. Had sod and sprinklers installed but we did all our beds. Not fun dealing with and removing all the clay soil!
