Does anyone know what happens to packages when UPS doesn't deliver them on the day they're supposed to? Based on the tracking info, it looks like they're going back to a local warehouse. Does anyone know how they are stored overnight? I ordered a medication that will be ruined if it freezes solid. Yesterday the UPS guy didn't come because of the snow on the roads, which is understandable. Today I saw him deliver a package to my neighbor and then went right by my driveway. Two minutes later the tracking showed a delay due to weather (bullcrap). The temps now are around 28 and it's expected to reach 0 overnight. By 8 am, it's only supposed to be 7. Sad thing is that I ordered in plenty of time to avoid this freezing weather and yet I'm right in the middle of it.
It could be inside a warehouse or it could be reloaded into another route truck parked at the center. I would not worry too much as any pharmacy (even bad online ones) should be shipping medication that are temperature sensitive with temp indicators inside. So, if it froze, the indicator would show that and you just have the pharmacy ship a new batch on them.
