Has been a long time since working the cash register at the mkt.
At times had 3 or 4 people in my line while cashier next to me had her arms folded.
Many customers liked me for some reason.
Holding a woman's baby while ringing groceries up. She had other small ones to handle. Told her of having 7 of my own at home so she was comfortable.
Asst mgmt was giving me dirty looks but people still stayed at my register.
After quitting to go into business for myself many asked my whereabouts.
36 yrs in business was my end result.

Just don't grab my cart and pull it to another aisle. Or don't grab my cart to take my items from one checkout line to another.

Just DON'T GRAB MY CART!

Why? I am disabled, and use the cart in place of a walker while in grocery stores!

Once you grab my cart, you leave me with no support. There I am, with nothing to balance, trying to catch up to my groceries You wouldn't grab away a disabled person's cane, or walker, or would you? It is the same thing when you tear away a grocery basket an elderly/disabled customer is using for support. I usually put my cane in the cart while depending on the cart for support. If you just come up and grab my cart, you leave me helpless, without the cart or my cane for support!

I know this situation would appear humorous to some, but its really NOT funny and could result in a serious accident. Of course, the store that "cares" so much about the customer could also face something they really "care" about, ie lawsuit

But how are the poor employees supposed to know? Well, that's why you politely ASK before doing something. You don't just assume what you're doing is ok.
