I have been buying dried peas in bags for 10 years. Soak overnight. I get a better end product.

Goya or Jack Rabbit.

BJ's has the best smoked pork hocks in my neck of the woods..

That is a pretty standard product that you can find in MOST traditional groceries. I have been to a half dozen states in the Southwest and the Midwest and they are readily available.

if you have to order them online, I would recommend that you buy them dried as otherwise, you are paying to shop a lot of water and metal.

Agree that the Glory brand is one of the best. However, it is also the most expensive and was about $2 per can in Kroger's in Columbus, OH, the city in which Glory Products are produced.

Looks like this must be our area in the Midwest.
These are nowhere to be found here. Very weird.

Do we know what's going with the sale of canned blacked eye peas?

Are you in the St. Louis area? It looks like Schnucks carries them.

Virtually all grocery stores in Oklahoma stock black eyed peas. Glory puts out a good bean, as do Trappleys and Bushes. Eating black eyed peas on New Years Day is a time-honored tradition in many places. It's supposed to bring you good luck. I've been known to eat several cans during this period.

I live in Northern California and the local 99 cent only store sells Glory black eyed peas. I haven't tried them but when I see them on display it reminds me of my childhood when my mom would cook them. I used to break them apart looking for their eyes

Cook them yourself from dried beans and the food value, as well as taste, will be better. They don't take as long to cook as many other kinds of beans.

We have them here. I've noticed there has only been store brand and Trappeys the last few times. A local store also sells them frozen in a special case in the produce section. They are in a clear bag unlike what you would find in the frozen section. They've gone months without having them although I have found them again lately.
