Default Consumer Products: Legos are still the best!

Growing up with Legos means you have children growing up with them.

With the release of the new Lego: Indiana Jones game (for most game units), naturally my kids bought a few of the matching lego kits.

Always read the safety warnings as Legos contain small parts.

Assembly is required.... (it is legos afterall ) Priced between $20 - $30 for most kits, you're paying for the name, but Legos' long standing history, it's always hours of fun.

My son created his own "Indiana Bones" character.

I spent hours and hours playing with legos. My kids have the big duplo blocks, but once they're older, let the madness begin!!! I only had a starter set as a child, so I'm looking forward to playing with all of the "new" stuff. My kids are still wee ones, so our wooden blocks are currently the best building things we have.

I don't allow them in my house. When my son was little, I had enough of stepping on one in the dark or when I wasn't looking. No more. He can do that somewhere else, lol.

I have a 14 y/o son and I have lived in Lego World his whole life! He has a Lego Room. I can't even fathom the amount of money I have spent over the years.

Thumbs up Legos are great!

I think Legos are amazing! When I was a kid, I collected the basic kits and spent hours designing houses and furniture with them. Some pieces were clear or red and I used them to make windows or vending machines in the kitchen. Vending machines!! LOL! The fun with Legos is that you can create whatever your mind makes up and it helps build focus and concentration. I made animals, cars and all sorts of things that were off the map, so to speak and designed by trial and error.

This isn't plug-and-play entertainment - Legos unleash creativity!

That Indiana Bones dude is fabulous!

Just another way Legos can create fun, even with made-up names for characters.

My son has many legos. He is into the lego online community website (monitored and sponsored by lego) where you can post pics of your creations. He loves them. Good for them, they are very creative. He keeps them in HIS room. So he can step on them if he doesn't pick them up.

For gifts, most people give him lego.

Best toy ever. I am too old to have played with legos, my bro had them though. We had lincoln logs.

Had to chuckle here: some of my Lego pieces are from 1964............when I got my first set.

My son loves Legos but in my opinion they are far too expensive.

My mother got him the Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle which costs $100. It is sitting on his dresser in a state of disrepair. Pieces have fallen off, things have come apart, etc......

My mother also found a GIANT Popcorn tin of legos at a flea market or somewhere. My kids and all the kids that visit us play with those more than the other ones.

So, anyone whose kid likes legos, start scouring tag sales /flea markets/salvation army for legos. The sets just cost too much.

I mean $100! That's just too much.

Btw, how come there are no pink legos or lego sets marketed to girls???? Just thought I'd throw that out there. (and dont tell me that there are little houses--those are for toddlers)
