"repairing or correcting any default or condition which impairs the use, market value, or safety of the new motor vehicle to the consumer after a reasonable number of attempts...."

A radio/cd player that doesn't work does 'impair the market value'. Would you pay the same price for two identical vehicles, one with a working radio/cd player, one with a non-working radio/cd player?

My suggestion is to see if there's been a recall placed on your car's particular stereo's model.

Just Google "chevy recalls" and then you'll find a site to pick your model year, etc. and just check to see if there are any that might match up.

If you strike out there, call the stereo manufacturer and see if they have heard of these issues, they might be able to take care of you in a better fashion than the dealership.
