Default Macy's Vs. Gottschalks Vs. Loehman's

What's the difference between all 3 stores?

They are going to be getting Macy's in San Luis Obispo downtown in about 5 years, and I'm excited since Macy's I hear is very popular and really defines the suburban areas from the rural ones. In 2025 South San Luis Obispo county is reaching 150,000 population within 20 miles of San Luis Obispo. 150,000 population within 20 miles of where Macy's is built is the official qualification to get a Macy's built, and where income is high Macy's will make an exception.

The places I like going shopping for general clothes is at Gottschalks right now, but I think I will like Macy's. I get my pants from Old Navy, my shoes from Payless Shoes, and my work-out clothes from Sports Authority.

I don't know what Gottschallks is...

but I really like Loehmanns. I actually use their website (smartbargains.com) all the time as I live in the middle of no where. They have a lot of different brand names for cheaper prices (sort of like a TJ Maxx or Marshalls, but a bit more higher end IMO). I got some really good brand name items for good prices, but at times the prices can be a bit high.

Macy's is a department store. Generally, the prices can be high unless you shop at a sale time. It is much bigger than Loehmann;s...

Macy's is a upscale Dillards i guess lol. I personally don't care for it. Never been to the other stores.
