If you wander over to the Green thread, they were discussing splitting the two-ply into one-ply rolls. I don't think it was a joke, and it scares me.

For the past three years I have been wondering the same thing about TP~Is there a TP Mafia? Every product has changed (for the worse) and the prices rise every week (it seems). I guess TP went through the same thing as many other things: everything has to be bigger and bigger.
--> Houses are bigger, with bigger bathrooms, so toilet paper rolls have to be bigger.
