How much money do you typically spend on a wedding gift?

I always spend a minimum of $100.00. It depends on whose wedding it is too. If it's someone I don't know very well, I'd keep it around $100.00. If it's a good friend or a family member I am fond of, it will be more.

Not usually a set price. I usually go off-registry and get something really personal that I think they will like. Sometimes that has been $30 and sometimes $300. All depends on the item.

Around $100. I spend less and less each time. I never even get thank you cards anymore.

Isn't it supposed to be the cost of your plate. So if a couple goes to a wedding and you plates are 60.00 each it would be 120.00. I mean it also does depend if you know this person well or if they are family but the usual is cover the cost of you plate.

I agree, you have to cover at least the cost per person. Also, not to forget you had already bought a present for a bridal shower from the catalog or department store.

We generally give $100 if not attending and $300 if attending.

Depends upon who it is. Since I make stained glass windows, often a gift of stained glass is requested, and if so, the price I would sell it for might be $700 if it's someone that I know well.

If they want me to buy them something, then it's substantially less, even if it is cheaper than my materials. I like to be personalized.

That will vary. Money shouldn't be the issue, it's from the heart, something extra-ordinary, meaninful, keepsake, etc.

Memories are priceless.
