Ok Ok So I see I wasn't being clear. I've been reading about polycarbonate and how substances (ie. baby bottles) can leach a chemical called BPA into whatever is in the container whether it be food or drink or even your mouth if you suck on it. I don't know if it's huey or if there's somethin to it?

Well, look how it has affected you...hahaha- I'm really just kidding sorry, it was just too easy.

I wonder about that, too. I used to microwave things in the take out containers, but don't do that any more. And I drive a lot in my job and kept a case of bottled water in the trunk, but have recently read that the heat could leach the plastic into the water. I also would reuse the water bottles and freeze them, then take them with me, but also read that they should not be frozen or reused.

OK...that's better I did a little search google "BPA in polycarbonates"

and of course as expected you get lotsO hits

examples:
http://www.seventhgeneration.com/mak...e=148&issue=52
and
http://www.jmu.edu/healthctr/ohp/wm_...per%5B1%5D.pdf

The 1st one strikes me as an orginization that'll find fault withanything.

the second however sites studies that have been done for many years and seem to indicate a connection between miscarriages and BPA.
I noted that they stopped using this type plastic in most baby bottles in 04.

The plastic is also used as a coating/liner for metaall soda cans .

For me...I don't drink any soda to speak of, (real men drink beer...bottles only please...and it costs less !) .

unless you are, or are soon to be with child I wouldn't loose sleep over it. I tend to be a schemtic about such "scares de-jour".

Live long and prosper \\_//
