Default Emeril stainless cookware

I ordered this set free from credit card points and then read it has some issues when heated too hot. Does anyone here own it and what are your thoughts? I also posted on the food board.

I love Emeril stainless cookware. I'm not sure what "issues" you are concerned about. They recommend cooking on medium heat as the copper bottom, being a good conductor, heats up fast and may then burn your food. The instructions also say to not use salt until later on in the cooking process as salt may create (and it does) the white marks on the stainless. I still rub it occasionally with vegetable or olive oil to remove those white spots after cleaning and drying and they look brand new.

consumer affairs had numerous complaints from people on them exploding and melting aluminum dripping and ruining things. My worry is that happening under normal medium heat. It is a pan you're suppose to be able to cook with and the fear it may ruin my cook top or hard woods or me concerns me. Can't return them though since they were free with my points.

I received the cookware today and there is a warning label on each pot and a flyer to not over heat or it could melt the aluminum if the pan is on high heat or boils dry. Molten aluminum can drip on things ruining them and cause fire. For crying out loud who makes a pan that is going to start fire. These are made by All-Clad for Emeril, the best pans you can buy. The trick is Emerils are made in China while the true All-Clad pans are made in PA. Wow.
