It's a blanket, but with sleeves.

I saw those on TV and thought it might be nice. I didn't have the money for it though, so instead I just bought some fleece and made my own with a pattern I found online. It was cheap enough that I was able to make one for me, my husband, my mother in law and my mother. They actually are good at keeping you pretty warm. I would recommend getting the thicker fleece from the fabric store though, instead of the cheap thinner fleece from walmart. (unless you live in a fairly warm climate.) With these I've been able to keep my heat bill down, which is a good thing since I'm on disability.

We sell something just like it at QVC, and it is one of our most popular items, currently it is sold out.

Correct me if I am not wrong, but what can you get from a snuggie that a regular er long fleece robe cant do? Or am I missing something?

I never saw the point of that. It doesn't really offer much above a standard blanket....
The only difference is that when you get up,it stays on your body.
Your hands are still exposed (even though on the commercial they act like the instant your hands come out from under a blanket they freeze...and when you reach for the phone in the Snuggie they somehow remain warm...) if you need to reach out and grab something....

I would never waste my money on the Snuggie and I was surprised to see that video earlier today. I guess some people aren't afraid to waste money in this economy.

my kids are screaming and yelling that they want one of these when the commercial comes on.

I have yet to purchase them, we've got robes and blankets for keeping warm.

I did see them at Walgreen's by the way, I think they were $14.99, don't know how that compares with the TV offers.............

People are damn stupid. Sell them the moon or a rock and they will buy it.
Anyone with half a brain could modify a blanket and get a 'snuggy'. No real man is going to use that thing.

Maybe all this is just hype. Sell the people a good 'depression story' to keep them focused off real problems.

Get a blanket or fleece, wear layers like we do in Vermont, put on socks and suck it up...

Yes, my daughter and I always laugh at that commercial - but you can't laugh at 4 million X $20. Makes me want to run around the house and find something that I already have and reinvent it (jeez, a snuggie is just an oversized robe on backwards).

Yep. You can turn the robe around and wear it backwards with pretty much the same results. However, you lose the novelty of owning the latest thing on the market that is actually nice and affordable.
