k so ive never ever shipped a package.
recently something i ordered online, they gave me the wrong item, so i have to ship it back.
do i just go into fedex and usps?
what do i ask them??

Look on the packing slip that came with the merchandise. You should find complete instructions on there. Often there is also a mailing label you can use on your return package. You will probably have to fill something out on the packing slip (e.g., reason for return, desired action [refund or exchange]) and enclose it with the merchandise you are returning.

Then you just put the stuff back in the box it came in, seal it, paste the new address on the outside, and take it to USPS (or FedEx or UPS) and tell them you want to ship it. They'll tell you how much it'll cost. You pay, and you're on your way.

NO - if they sent the wrong item, they need to pay to have it returned. Contact the company, in most cases they will arrange for either UPS to pick it up or mail or email you a return label that they prepay the postage on. Certainly don't pay for their mistake!

You can take it to the post office and mail it--it's usually cheaper than UPS or Fedex.

wow thanks guys for ur amazing replies..honestly. each one was useful.
such as them paying for wrong items, only thing i didnt do is take it to the post office, i just went to ups.
