Louis Vuitton merchandise doesn't go on sale at this site or any other retailer. I don't think the LV bricks and mortar stores mark things down either. When certain LV styles are discontinued, they are not marked down and offered for sale. Any unsold discontinued LV, bags for example, are destroyed in order to limit the number of bags and promote exclusivity. Unless there are no stores selling LV in your area, it's better to buy at a bricks and mortar store. You don't have to pay high shipping fees and you can examine the merchandise in person.

When I mentioned sale items, I meant the other designer stuff that are offered on that online site. I usually don't find anything to my liking because the selections of non-LV items are rather limited. I have much better luck buying during the end-of-season sales at Saks or Neiman.

For people who purchase online frequently especially expensive or big ticket items, you can get money back if you register at ebates.com. Although the amounts are small, it's still a pleasant surprise to get a check in the mail. Disclaimer: I'm not associated with or work for ebates in any way.

I checked. Both the domain and an article in the International Herald Tribune which specifically talks about eLuxury.com being a subsidiary of Louis Vuitton. I want that wallet!

I've ordered a few things online, but I have trust issues.

I've been looking for leather Parson chairs. overstock has some that look rather nice. It would still involve a chunk of change though.

Anyone care to share their personal experience with overstock or buying furniture from the net?

MoMark,

Go get that wallet. You can afford it. No more delayed gratification for a responsible, hard-working person. You deserve it.

I've checked around and it seems to be legit. I went to the LV website and it lists eluxury as a place to buy Louis Vuitton online.

I was actually looking at a wallet, would this be the one you're talking about MoMark http://www.eluxury.com/browse/product_detail.jhtml?styleid=10062352&SectionID= (broken link) ?

The wallet I have right now is OLD (I've had it since high school). It's pretty much falling apart and I probably should get a new one but there is no way I'd want a $400 wallet. I'd be afraid to take it anywhere! To me a wallet is a wallet.

I'm looking for a couple of LV ties but damn $180... The price we pay to look good.

No, it's the monogram canvas 10 credit card slots, long currency pocket and two vertical pockets and priced at $320. I like that classic monogram look. That is exactly what my fake looks like.
I would buy it desertgirl, but my goal is to save $20,000 this year for emergency backup and I'll never do it if I buy this kind of stuff! I can squeeze another year out of my fake one...just have to make sure that my Dillons Supermarket discount card doesn't fall out if I'm not looking as the side is falling apart
