Washington, D.C. (AHN) - The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) on Thursday filed separate complaints against three firms to stop them from conducting deceptive sale of car warranties over the phone to consumers listed on the Do Not Call Registry.

I've received one on my cell phone within the past week. I've also had to "restricted" calls on my cell phone. Don't know if they were related or not,but I've set my cell phone to "no ring" for restricted numbers. If the caller can't identify themselves, I can't be bothered with their call.

I saw footage on NBC news earlier this week showing Chuck Schumer(NY) relating how members of Congress were getting the robocalls on their cells while in session.
It's about time. My 14 yo (at the time) son was getting these on his cell phone - which is on the DNC list. He just learned to not answer numbers he didn't recognize. It figures nothing would happen until it annoyed Congress personally.
