I just noticed that you can order pizza from Pizza Hut online. I notice that they charge tax and a delivery charge. Should I be tipping on top of the delivery charge? What amount is appropriate?

You are lucky... our Pizza Huts do not deliver!

I'd tip on the total, but I tend to be generous with delivery people. They don't get paid much....

Lucky? Thanks for a good laugh. You should come take a ride east sometime for some real pizza.

If it's like here (I asked about the delivery charge and who gets it) - they charge $2 delivery: store gets $1/driver gets $1 - so I do still tip but take into consideration that gas is cheaper and there is already a $1 tip. Don't get me wrong, I'm not cheap - but I'll tip a dollar or so less than I used to because of this.

I enjoy both NY Style and Chicago style pizza.

Anyways, back to my question:

Was it ok that I just tipped a $1? Or should I have tipped more?

I usually tip $2-$2.50 as I said - that makes it a $3-$3.50 tip.

If the pizza boy is cute, then the sky is the limit for my tip, especially when you're single on Valentine's Day in a dating wasteland like Scranton!

The pizza hut here only gives the delivery guy .75 of the delivery fee.
As you know Renna's is my favorite but when we do order from Pizza Hut the $3 or $4 tip I give (more if we have friends over and it is a larger order) has resulted in our orders getting here pipping hot. It has been the same 2 delivery guy for the past year.

Next time we do the Jax pizza party we hope you can make it !!!
