I actually went to Radio Shack yesterday... the gentleman who helped me was very nice and knowledgeable (he was an electrical engineering student at a local university) and helped me find a fuse I needed for a jet fuel pump. I was really surprised they had it, but I was pretty happy with my overall experience.

It's been YEARS since I went to a Radio Shack but I may give them a little more business.

After reading all the posts in this thread, it seems to me they should be renaming their stores to another word that begins with "Sh"

Might as well stick a fork in Radio Shack. It's done.
My poor hubby would be really sad to see this. He is a 'radio man' through and through...he made his own radio as a kid and has never lost his love of them! He isn't much of a TV person, needless to say, and takes one of his many radios everywhere he goes, mostly listening to AM/talk radio. Radio Shack has always been one of his favorite places to look around because you can actually still get a simple radio there...he's not into digital. And, I might add, he doesn't own a cell phone and he'd be happy with a rotary dial phone! I sometimes think he's stuck in a time warp...but I love 'im!
