Just because they WANT you to doesn't mean people have to although in reality they have better prices then just about everyone else in my area.

You find the stupidest things to start posts about.

There are alot of people out there who can't afford to have a checking account and places like check cashing Walmart and Amscot are where they go. You can also pay your bills in places like this for a nominal fee. Check and see how much it costs you to pay your electric bill next time you do it over the phone, it costs me 6 bucks here however for $1 I can pay it in cash at Amscot and the amount is credited to my account that day at 5pm.

Amscot is also cheaper for check cashing.

My bank account is free, deposits/withdrawals are free, electronic payroll deposit is free, debit card use (unlimited) is free, and unlimited online billpay is free. Who's missing the point now??

THAT"S THE POINT OF CASHING THE CHECK, because it's very unlikely the person won't buy anything in their store. Yes people don't have to spend money in there but they WILL

Depending upon where you live, very often the issuing bank will cash the check with little or not charge.

I was just poking fun at Walmart's poor uncreative attempt to get more customers. From the commercial it's obvious what they are trying to do.

And so? What? Do they hold a gun to your head and make you shop there?

What's the difference between that and advertising you have a huge sale on wicker furniture? I mean wtf is the big deal? Is this one of those lame threads trying to demonize Walmart for every little thing, including scratching their nose the wrong way?

Go waste someone else's time.

Nothing is wrong with it, I was just poking fun at Walmart 's sneaky way to get more than $3.00 out of your paycheck
