I buy ALL my books from Amazon.

And probably about 50% of my other on-line purchases if they offer the best deal.

Never had any problems.

We've been using Amazon for years now. Not only are they prompt, they are usually early. I do about 95% of my holiday shopping from Amazon. I recommend them without reservation.

I have found Amazon to be good to deal with, I have had a couple odd happenings before but Amazon always fixed it quickly. Once I got a dvd set thing that had like 2 disc 2's and no disc 3... they just sent me a new package and I printed a return label for the old one. Couldn't ask for more.

Amazon.com is a Seattle based company, so Washington residents have to pay sales tax.
Washington state sales tax is around 9%, so unless the item qualifies for free shipping, it's not always such a good deal.

I recently read that Amazon is opening another shipping center.
The residents of whatever state they put it in will then have to pay sales tax on their Amazon purchases.

amazon.com accounted for most of my Christmas shopping this year.

Many relatives have Wish Lists there... makes shopping for the perfect gift so easy!

I agree with the majority here, Amazon.com is a great site. I've ordered many things from them and not one problem.
